The home for a family of three in Cologne’s district of Sürth was developed on a narrow plot of land in classic residential surroundings. The compact, individual home impresses with the clever utilisation of design ideas. The conscious interplay of various window formats lends the classic white facade finish a feeling of liveliness. A large dormer with a floor-length window generates space and roominess in the sloped upper floor. The standard front garden was organised as a top step with a shielded seating area, and the obligatory garage was replaced with an open parking space with access to the garden.
