Info
The Galerie Café was built in 2017 on Kapuzinergasse, one of the most popular shopping streets in Düsseldorf’s old town. After the previous dilapidated building was demolished, the gap between buildings was filled with a spectacular glass and steel structure. The three sides enclose the free space and connect to the edges of the two listed buildings that sit on either side. Uninterrupted air space stretches out across the full height of the building above a ground-level café. Thanks to the encompassing glass facade, this impressive interior is bathed in brightness, and the views of the exterior space give the building a unique quality for visitors.
