Esprit + EDC Münster

In 2009, Esprit opened their at the time largest store in Germany. With two interconnected but independent retail areas for Esprit and EDC, the store features 1,900 sqm of fresh ideas and innovative details in harmony with standard corporate identity architecture. The main feature of the so-called “family store” is the separate kids’ world for children and youth collections on the upper floor. Here, the dark suspended ceiling and the white epoxy floor form a calm backdrop for the colorful, geometric furniture. In keeping with other playful corporate identity elements, multi-colored accent lighting cubes hang down from the ceiling, selectively reducing the room height to a child-friendly level. As a counterpart to the ceiling cubes we also designed furniture cubes that serve as seating and facilitate trying clothes on small children.
