Info
Our plan views the building in the town park as a solitary feature and part of the urban structure. The two-storey shell consists of a solid cylinder which is borne by individual cubes. The park flows through the intermediate spaces that were created in this way on the ground floor and connects with the museum structure, an open gesture to the town. Three characteristic space types separate the interior: the flowing space, the closed space and the large space. The park “flows” through the ground floor. This is where the public functions are located. The cubes supporting the shell of the upper floor is home to closed rooms with utility and auxiliary functions. Finally, the large space houses the crucial, representative exhibition area of the museum.
