Kult
Salzburg
Info
The first Kult store in Austria was opened in 2016 on an area of 800 m2 in Salzburg’s Sternbräu centre. We planned a store over two floors that mindfully sets emotional accents and scores points thanks to its coherent furnishing concept.
During the construction work for the shop building, we exposed part of the old city wall underground, which is protected as a historic monument. We incorporated the wall into the shop’s design on the lower level. Here, we predominantly used natural surfaces such as old whitewashed timber and exposed concrete to suit the wall, and chose a bright shop ambience, which definitely succeeded in accentuating the exciting contrasts between old and new. The eye-catchers are the media screens and the logo, affixed onto wall panels along the escalator that leads to the lower floor.
